Virtual Retreat

We are so pleased to present this year’s retreat- VIRTUALLY!
Join us Friday evening, October 9th through Saturday evening, October 10th, 2020. We will spend time together engaging in conversation, participating in dynamic workshops, while also finding rest and solitude in scheduled moments of quiet and meditation.

We will hear from leaders in our community as they guide us in conversations, material based activities and workshops to inspire us to new places in our work. We will discuss everything from art to parenting, opening ourselves up to be both challenged and renewed. We will share in conversation about our art practices, learning from each other what works well and discussing areas where we are struggling.

We envision you scheduling this time for yourself to be set apart, just as it would be if we were gathering for an in-person retreat. Consider asking your partner to take over childcare for the duration of the retreat, finding a place of solitude (your bedroom, a hotel or cozy airbnb?) where you can plug into the retreat alone. Or gather with a few friends (safely) at one of your homes or a cozy space and take in the goodness of the retreat programming together! I imagine so many of us around the world connected by holding this space together October 9th + 10th, even if we can’t be together in person.

This retreat is meant to inspire you to new places with your work, connect you with your body in ways that are restorative, provide you space to engage in thoughtful conversations about art and parenting, and uplift you with hours of encouragement from a loving community.

Retreat Activities:
All activities will certainly be optional- I would encourage you to take full advantage of the workshops, lectures, and discussions that will be offered. I also fully understand that Artist/Mothers can always use more rest and quiet! You are encouraged to “retreat your way”, opt out of an afternoon session if needed and enjoy a nap.

There will be an on-site massage therapist available for appointments (booking will take place ahead of time, more details to come).

Studio time is limited but available. There is a large community art room with tables and sinks that you will have access to. You are free to make sure of this space as well as any outdoor studio set up you’d like to create! The camp grounds are inspiring and there are lots of spaces that would make a great spot for sketching, reading, painting or drawing.

Retreat fee:
$595 early bird (ends September 1)
$645 regular price (ends November 1)
