
This episode has not one but two amazing Artist/Mothers featured! Both women discuss their means of making art while their lives are steeped with other roles and responsibilities. Both of these women have a long list of accomplishments and yet their humble and down-to-earth nature makes them so relatable. They share lots of wisdom, encouragement, and all about the partnership they created together that fosters a community of like minded creatives called Carve Out Time For Art!
Heather Kirtland is a graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art and a recipient of The Maryland State Arts Council Grant. Heather intends to bring attention to the universal human condition by exploring emotional states through abstraction. She is also a very gifted portrait painter. Heather pursues her art career while also being a part time hairstylist and the primary caregiver for her two children. Marissa Huber is an Occupancy Planner by day, an artist by… all other hours of the day. Her work is inspired by moments in the mundane that she finds delight in, a shadow, leaf, or shape. She often works in patterns and with quick mediums like ink, pastels or digital drawing tools. Marissa lives in South Florida and is the Mama of two children.
